FR____ // JMW est un compositeur et interprète dévoilant un univers expérimental puissant, mêlant noise, ambiant et electro avec un lien très fort son/image. Entre formation mathématique, sonore, cinématographique et théâtrale, son travail d’influences pluridisciplinaires en constante évolution, cherche à évoquer, stimuler l’imagination, par les différentes approches spécifiques de ces disciplines. C’est donc dans le travail de la musique, de la création sonore théâtrale mais aussi de la vidéo que JMW parvient à créer un univers artistique complet.
Il fonde en 2015 le groupe CIORAN, aux frontières de l’électro, du rock et de la Coldwave. Ses compositions s’y enrichissent et se confrontent pour donner en 2016 un premier EP du nom de BORN AGAIN. En parallèle, il sort un premier projet solo : EUPHEMISTIC WAVES.
En 2017, JMW décide avec SOMBRE de convertir ses recherches artistiques et narratives dans un EP aussi bien précis dans sa composition que dans sa retranscription sonore. Avec Sombre, se dégage également une réelle volonté de pouvoir jouer sa musique dans des lives s’adaptant aussi bien à de simples set musicaux qu’à de véritables voyages enivrants grâce à un VJing maîtrisé.
EN____ // John M. Warts is a composer and an interpret whose powerful experimental univers mixes noise, ambiant and electronic and explores a tight link between sound and image. His constantly evolving work seeks for calling and stimulating our capacities of imagination using specific tools tought by each discipline he touched : mathematics, as well as sound, movie and drama formations. That’s how JMV can create a complete artistic univers : working on music, on sound creation for drama productions, and on video.
In 2015, he creates his music group : CIORAN. CIORAN combines electronic, rock and coldwave. CIORAN also enhanced JMW’s compositions which are now getting more and more advanced. That’s why in 2016 he created his first EP called BORN AGAIN. At the same time, JMW brought out his first solo : EUPHEMISTIC WAVES.
In 2017, with SOMBRE, JMW brings into light the results of his artistic and narrative researches in an EP as precise in his composition as in its sound translation. SOMBRE testifies also on behalf of a deep and real will to play music in lives which could use simple musical sets as well as performant VJing allowing exhilarating trips.
